At a time when many members of the public lack trust in the UK’s parliamentary system, it’s more important than ever that there is transparency in the motivation of politicians – particularly how they make their money. Set Reset researched, designed and created an interactive online tool that allows the public to examine financial data that was previously hidden in plain sight.

The site features a simple step-by-step story to guide users through how an MP’s income is made up, including the differences between official governmental salary and additional private earnings. Users can then dig down further, filtering and managing the data to uncover their own stories through customised data visualisation.
